7 steps to put your website on the fast track to success

To get on the fast track to success, you must:

1. Create a dynamic and distinctive website. The page name must match the domain name. There can be no bad or broken links. JavaScript errors should be fixed. The company profile must be clear, concise and complete. There should be a safe command if needed. Also, there should be visible links to the company’s business plan, privacy policy, return policy, and warranty.

2. Apply design with the user in mind. Never use large images. 10-12 KB per image ensures your pages won’t slow down. Use graphics that add value to your content. Avoid images that change colour or flicker. Use standard layouts that are easy to read, the page should breathe, and the font size should be comfortable. Use multiple fonts: serif for titles and sans serif for text. Limit the number of ads, banners, and links on the page. Make sure to test your site on multiple browsers.

3. Select a directory with a view. Read through all download requirements and guidelines several times. Choose a category with care and planning (scroll through the directory, look for listings from competitors and related sites). Look at your site from a publisher’s perspective. Make sure the title and summary are relevant and relevant to the content of the site. List the strengths of your website realistically. Think about adding value to your website.

4. Increase your traffic by submitting your website to web directories. Apply on main and subpages. Also some relevant niche sites will increase your popularity and traffic.

5. Connect your website to others. Search engines give higher rankings to websites that link to other websites. Link your website to main and sub-sites. Reach high-traffic sites and ask for a mention or link. This will improve your search engine ranking and increase traffic from the linked pages.

6. Optimize your website’s PageRank by carefully selecting incoming external links. Unsurprisingly, when it comes to links to relevant pages, quality, not PageRank, is the criterion to consider. Put your website in an open directory and on Yahoo, as this will give you an artificial PageRank boost. Never place external links on pages that lead to other websites. External links should be offered on pages with low PageRank and many links to pages on your site. Build your navigation structure so that important pages link to many other internal pages that don’t require high ranking. These additional links increase the rank of your main pages.

7. Create a sitemap and link every page to it. These enticing spiders are sent by search engines, which then crawl every page on your website. Adopt a user-friendly navigation structure. Check regularly for errors. Add a site search tool. Be search engine friendly and avoid framing, flashing, or code that launches a spider or engine.
It is not the submission to the catalogue that guarantees success, but the attention to the smallest details.
